It has been a long time since I've had a chance to update anything,
but I have just made some updates on my tour schedule. I'm
preparing to leave for two and a half months to tour the great state
of Alaska onboard the Holland America Line's ms Veendam. Check
out my tour schedule for more details! Maybe I'll see you out
there?

I just received this artwork from an artist I work closely with.
It's a great picture that represents my recent working relationship
with David Copperfield.

Dave Womach & David Copperfield!
I recently had the opportunity to work with David Copperfield, and
train some parrots for him. It was a wonderful opportunity,
and we all had a great time (even the birds)! I wish I could
tell you what he's up to with his birds, but unfortunately I cannot
share that at this time. Just keep your eyes open.

- FAREWELL SAIPAN - After a solid run at SandCastle Saipan, Dave
Womach heads to Orlando, Florida. The show closed on
Wednesday, June 20 after 601 shows. The time in Saipan was
served well. In addition to 12 shows a week, Womach set a
world record (See below), scuba dived over 100 dives, produced a new
show, and launched his very own line of products for magicians.
"One of the most memorable moments was when we were scuba
diving an old WWII tank that sunk at 140'. We we're just about
to start coming up to our first safety stop when Jamie signaled me
that she felt crazy (Nitrogen Narcosis), then her eyes rolled back
into her head and she passed out! I quickly grabbed her
regulator and the back of her head, and slowly ascended to 75', our
first safety stop. She came to, and my good friend, Dale
Carhill, helped me bring her back into the reef. We only made
it about 10 yards at 75' when Jamie pulled out the writing board and
asked why we were both holding her so tightly. She had no idea
she passed out. The moral of the story is to only dive to 90'
with people that weigh 102 lbs. That was the scariest day of
my life!"
"The time here was full of memories! I don't have time
or space to write it all, however, it was wonderful! One of my
other personal successes was that I can now hold my breath for 2:15
at 60', without a scuba tank. In other words, grabbing a
breath of air at the surface, kicking down, and waiting at 60'.
For those of you who free-dive, you know how amazing it is!
About a week before leaving the island, I was fishing with my friend
Morito Asai,
who owns
AquaSmith dive shop in
Saipan, when
I saw an old bomb from WWII. (Click
here to see pictures of Jamieleigh on AquaSmith's website!) I held my breath and dove down,
when I reached 60', I realized I was being watched! I looked
over and found a large sea turtle who just sat a couple feet away
from me, looking at me as if he was puzzled that I was there with
him. He swam around me for a short while, then rested right
beside me. Unfortunately I can't hold my breath as long as he can,
so I had to return the surface, but seeing a sea turtle that close
in the wild was just incredible. I have many new goals for free-diving, and plan on taking a trip to the Bahamas to get trained
by the best, World Record Holder
William Trubridge,
who set the record at 83 meters while holding his breath 3 minutes
and 9 seconds!"
"My future plans... well, I can't mention exactly what they
are right now, but you can take a look at my tour schedule, and
realize that something is brewing on the horizon. If you
haven't already signed up on my newsletter, please do, so I can keep
you updated!"

Dave Womach sets the world record for the deepest underwater card
stab without a scuba tank (or other source of air!).
A card was selected at the surface, and a team of divers made their
decent to 62 feet. Dave took one final breath at the surface, and
propelled himself down to 61 feet with no scuba tank. The cards were
released at around 50 feet, and they dropped to the ocean floor.
Just before they hit the bottom, he fired the spear gun and hit the
selected card, the Queen of Diamonds!
The following slide show shares 10 pictures from the record
setting event!
